Courtney Love Wins Court Battle Over NYC Landlord

Last year was rough for Courtney Love after her rented West Village townhouse caught on fire in NYC. Last June a candle set a curtain on fire in the master bedroom which also resulted in scorching her hands!
OK! NEWS: COURTNEY LOVE IS SINGLE AGAIN Although the owner of the historic four-story building alleged in the court claim that Courtney damaged the 19th century residence and altered its interior by painting and papering over hand-finished walls, the case was tossed by a NYC housing court judge. Her lawyer told The New York Post, "We've always said that the claims were baseless because the landlord was unfairly seeking future rent. I'm really pleased for Courtney. She deserves this win." OK! NEWS: COURTNEY LOVE "STEALS" FAMED PHOTOGRAPHER'S CAR Despite winning the case which also indicated she owed $50,000 in back rent, apparently the singer does not plan on continuing her $27,000 monthly rent after her lease expires on Valentine's Day. Sources tell the newspaper she plans to move downtown.
