"I’m not as beside myself as I thought I would be because I’m incapable of accepting gifts or awards," Maks told reporters after the show. "We just had this weird, dumbfounded look on our faces. As a fellow Capricorn, she (Meryl) knows what I'm saying. Thinking about the fact that this isn't my, or our, finish line. We could be brilliant. Charlie didn't make the finals. James didn't make the finals. There are people that did incredible numbers. It's about the people who voted and called. They stay up overnight and vote and vote and vote. It's because of them that we're hosting the trophy. Had Amy and Derek's name been called out, all would be right with the world."
Of course the big question Maks and Meryl fans want the answer to is, Are they dating? Will they date? Will we see more of them together? Everyone wants answers!
"We were just saying a couple minutes ago that the show, despite the fact that it's a reality show, puts people into really real situations," says Meryl, dodging the romantic aspect of the question. "It's challenging, and we're not just coming onto the show on Mondays ready to dance and it's hard. You go through the daily grind and it's very challenging and I think you get to know people in really fun moments, you get to know people in really challenging moments and I think that's what makes the show so successful. And I also think that that's why when the cameras stop rolling, I think that's why a lot of the relationships you form on the show keep going long after the season's over."

Last week Maks told reporters he'd reveal whether or not he will return to the show this week, but it seems the win may have taken the energy out of him...or he's waiting to see if judge Len Goodman will really leave the series as he mentioned as a possibility during Tuesday night's show.

"Len and I will get together and think about it," says Maks. "Honestly, emotionally, I have no idea how this is possible twice. Derek did it five times. He was the first person that I spoke to after Meryl and I said, 'Dude, I have no clue.' I have to connect with the person and when I connect it's do or die. When the season's over, I'm depleted. I have nothing left."
