David Arquette stopped by Late Show With David Letterman last night to share with the host an update on his life. So, how is his estranged wife Courteney Cox?

"Courteney's fantastic," David Arquette told David Letterman on the CBS show, and then paused, "We're still separated."

And the joke launched the actor into a fit of giggles that lasted for the rest of the interview.

"But we're best friends and it's really sweet," the new Dancing With the Stars contestant explained. "I mean, we grew apart, and I advise everyone not to let that happen."

Courteney and David have been married for 11 years and are technically still married.

"Would you like to reconcile? Would you like to get back together in a marriage?" David Letterman asked.

"I love her with all my heart, but we have compatibility issues," he explained. "I'm like wild and crazy and she's very calm. And it really started becoming apparent after 11 years."
