DMX was arrested on Nov. 18 for failing to submit to drug testing, refusing to undergo treatment and not checking in with his probation officer, Phoenix New Times reports.
"I did make the effort that I could, and I appreciate any help you can give me," the rapper told Judge Christine Mulleneaux in a Phoenix courtroom, but the judge was not very sympathetic.

The judge said DMX had tested positive for cocaine five times during his probation and said he probably has an undiagnosed mental condition that needs to be taken care of to avoid substance abuse.
"Your criminal history goes back to 1988," she said. "It's going to continue if you don't take care of your mental health."
