It's no secret American Idol is looking for the perfect combination of judges now that Mariah Carey, Nicki Minaj and Randy Jackson have left the show.

So far it's been confirmed that Jennifer Lopez and Keith Urban will be sitting on the panel, and now there are whispers that Harry Connick Jr. could be named next!

As Idol fans will remember, Harry has appeared throughout the years on the hit Fox singing competition to encourage and guide contestants.

"Sources tell us that now that producer Dr. Luke had to bow out due to conflict of interest, Harry is their top choice," reports E!. "The negotiations for him to join are currently ongoing."
