It's Here, Little Monsters! Get Your First Listen To Gaga's New Single, "Applause"
Pop. Music. Overload. Just hours after Katy Perry released her first single in months, "Roar", Lady Gaga released hers, called "Applause." It was supposed to come out officially next Monday, August 19, but due to online leaks, Gaga decided to just release the thing early. Not that her #LittleMonsters are complaining or anything.

Upon first listen I think the song has a super catchy chorus, but it sounds to me like a party song from 1998 mixed with Madonna from 1989.... I legit feel like this song might as well have played at my bat mitzvah. You be the judge:

But whether you like the song or not, Gaga is going to be performing it LIVE for the first time at the MTV VMAs on August 26. And of course, Katy will be performing "Roar" that night as well. We smell some friendly competition!
