James Franco Denies He's Dated Kristen Stewart or Ashley Benson: "I Wish"

Up until today we thought James Franco had led a very busy few months, dating and romancing a slew of Hollywood's hottest young actresses.

After a screening for On The Road at the Toronto Film Festival last month, spies said the actor asked out a recently single Kristen Stewart and the two had plans to go out once back in the states.

Just this past week, a snitch said he was officially dating his Spring Breakers co-star, Ashley Benson.

"They have been seeing each other for a little over a month, but things are going well," a source told Page Six.

Not so, the actor says in a recent blog post for the Huffington Post. After penning a rather lengthy update on his whereabouts and recent projects, he added a sarcastic aside to some of the Internet's recent rumors.

"I also hear that I've been dating Selena Gomez, Kristen Stewart and Ashley Benson. Hot damn, am I a lucky guy," he deadpanned. "I wish I had actually gotten closer than the 13th row of the theater in Toronto where Kristen gave her On the Road Q and A, but I didn't; not only did I not talk to her, I didn't even go to the SoHo house where I supposedly asked her out on a date. As for Gomez and Benson, those are Bieber's girls and I wouldn't dare tangle with the Biebs. I heard he wants to kick my ass. Yikes!"

The actor/filmmaker/artist/writer/teacher has been busy dividing his time teaching film, creative writing and performance classes in L.A and jetting off to Jackson, Miss. where he's directing the film version of the William Faulkner classic, As I Lay Dying.
