Jason Kennedy and Lauren Scruggs Reveal Wedding Details—It's Happening Sooner Than You Think!
July 17 2014, Published 3:16 p.m. ET
Last night, we got a peek at a brand new machine that will change your life. It's called the Swash and it's basically like having your very own dry cleaner in your home. Only way better! You can put some of your favorite hard-to-wash clothes, like pretty shirts with embellishments or sequins on them in the new machine from P&G and Whirlpool, and it comes out smelling and looking brand new in under 10 minutes! It's pure magic.
Also magical? That surprise engagement that E! News' Jason Kennedy pulled off for his now fiancée Lauren Scruggs a couple months ago. After we stopped full-on gushing to the couple at this exclusive event, we got their take on the Swash, their upcoming wedding and their favorite clothes each other wears.
OK! News: Why did Kim and Kanye just spent $800,000 on North West?
OKMagazine.com: First of all, congratulations!
Lauren Scruggs: Thank you!
Jason Kennedy: Thanks very much! I think we’re pretty excited about it.
OKMagazine.com: That was a pretty epic engagement, but where are all those candles now?
JK: The candles are in a brown box.
LS: In your garage, right?
JK: They’re in my garage. I think I counted them and there's around 500. Thanks to my mom, she found a great deal and we love deals, she got them somewhere online. It was awesome, but yeah they’re in the garage now. But we'll never forget, that’s a very special box.
OKMagazine.com: Where are you guys with wedding planning?
JK: December!
LS: I know it’s soon, yeah!
JK: It will be in Dallas. We’re moving quickly!
LS: We have a lot done. I found the dress!
JK: She’s got a dress and it's one of those things where I say "Yes dear." I trust her judgment and we're moving along quickly.
LS: It will be fun.
OKMagazine.com: Also fun, you’re getting ready to hang with Dean McDermott, of Tori and Dean fame, tonight?
JK: Yes! He’s guest hosting E! News. I'll be on set with Dean and I have a lot of questions for him. Number one is, everything that you do in this reality show people are seeing, and the comments are made during the therapy sessions. Tori’s always been so sweet and he’s been a nice guy but I just want to know man, down the road if your kids see this, are you going to be ok with it?

OKMagazine.com: Would you guys ever do a show like that?
JK: We don’t know. I think she’s just moved here a month ago and if we start talking reality shows right now, that could be a little much. We just want to preserve what we have right now, get her adjusted. I have a crazy work schedule, she’s got a busy work schedule, she has so many things going on right now. If the time comes for something like that and people even care then yeah, we’ll visit it.
OKMagazine.com: We just got to see the magic of this new machine, the Swash. Do you guys have one yet?
JK: No, not yet. I want her to buy me one because I can't iron and I think this is perfect. Ten minutes and I have a shirt I can wear and look presentable in, so this is really cool. I’ve never seen anything like this before.
OKMagazine.com: What else would you want to be able to do in under 10 minutes?
JK: Fly from Dallas to LA. That would be great. It would make the transition a lot easier and get to see her family more.
OKMagazine.com: Which one of you is the neat freak in the relationship?
LS: Both of us! I’ve never met anyone as OCD as I am, but he is.
JK: I’m the same way. We like a clean place, we don’t live together yet but her apartment is spotless, my house is spotless and it works. It's not like we get on each other’s case about it, we’re always on the same page of hey, let's have the dishes clean, let's make sure the closets clean.
OKMagazine.com: Since the Swash will be keeping all your clothes clean and beautiful, what is your favorite thing that the other one wears?
JK: You wore this black shirt yesterday, we just did engagement photos, and it had like a little leather on the top and I was like hello! It was a great little number, I couldn’t tell you anything about it but I just liked it.
LS: Thanks! I like when you wear hats.
JK: Backwards though. She thinks it’s sexy.
LS: Yeah seriously, I’m like good lord. And these sunglasses that he just got, if you wear your hat backwards and those sunglasses I’m like, I can’t handle it. So cute!
OK! News: Are Brad and Angelina helping Shia LaBeouf?
