Jill Duggar’s Husband Derick Dillard Denies Getting Fired From ‘Counting On’
Gaslighting or truth-telling? You be the judge!
Derick Dillard has Counting On fans completely confused after he recently claimed he never got fired from the TLC show, despite the network announcing his firing late last year.
The former reality star made the shocking allegation on Twitter after a fan tweeted at him, “Missing you and …your wife Jill on Counting On. Do not know why you are gone from the show. Love watching your journey.”
Derick responded: “We were going in a different direction as a family and decided to stop filming. Thank you. We hope you are encouraged in some way by our journey, especially our reliance upon our savior, Jesus Christ.”
As OK! readers’ know, TLC announced that they had cut all ties with the father-of-two after he went on multiple transphobic Twitter rants about Jazz Jennings last year.

“We want to let our viewers know that Derick Dillard has not participated in Counting On for months, and the network has no plans to feature him in the future,” TLC wrote on Twitter in November 2017. “We want to reiterate that Derick’s personal statements do not reflect the views of the network. TLC is proud to share the story of Jazz Jennings and her family and will continue to do so.”
Even after his departure from the show, Derick continued to talk about Jazz on social media.
As recent as this month, Derick was called out for referring to the 17-year-old transgender reality star as a male.
