On the heels of TLC's cancellation of Kate Plus 8, Kate Gosselin has managed to stay in the spotlight and even interacted with fans on Twitter last night. There's one person, however, who seems to be relieved the show was yanked and that's none other than ex-husband Jon Gosselin.
In an exclusive interview with Radar Online, Jon admitted he's relieved that cameras will no longer be rolling on his brood. "I hope they can have more private family moments." He added, "I hope that this will bring more privacy to my children and that they can get the proper attention they need for any personal issues they might have in the future."
Plus, he wasn't exactly surprised to hear the show got pulled. All good things must come to an end at some point, right? He explained, "Contracts have to end at some point. I think everything had run its course and it was time to come to an end anyways."
The couple share custody of their eight children and it appears Jon has moved on with his life. He has a girlfriend and lives in an apartment close to Kate's house.
By wishing her well he added, "I have no clue what her next move is. I hope she dedicates more time to the kids now and I wish her the best as she goes forward with whatever career she wants to pursue."
