Being a supermodel means Karlie Kloss must stay fit even when the weather calls for comfort food.

“It’s all about moderation—a little bit of everything,” the Victoria’s Secret Angel, 21, tells me during an event in NYC. “It’s also about a healthy balance. It’s important not to go crazy-overboard. I mean, I love steak. It’s all about moderation. A little taste of everything.”
She continues, “A little bit of exercise, a little bit of health and nutrition. And also, exercise. Even though it’s cold outside, it’s good to stay in a routine. Whatever that routine is for you. Everything in moderation is my motto.”

“One of my favorite things is the people I get to work with,” she says. “I’ve been in the fashion industry for the last seven years. I’ve been able to work with the most talented, creative photographers, designers, makeup artists, hairstylists—and also meet some of the most talented people within the industry. I really enjoy that aspect of my job.”

Karlie also enjoyed getting away from it all by traveling to Burma, where she spent the first two weeks of the New Year on an adventure, far away from “my phone and computer.”
