TLC announced Kate will be getting her own series called Twist of Kate as well as star in a series of Kate Plus 8 specials to look at her life without her ex-husband Jon Gosselin.
The concept of Twist of Kate is that she'll be using letters from fans who were inspired by her story and profile women facing their own struggles.
"I look at it as a loose concept," Kate told USA Today. "I want to be out there learning from others, helping to provide insight whenever I can, though I don't consider myself an expert on anything."

The mom of eight will go and visit the homes and workplaces of everyday people.
"She will be in that person's shoes. And more often than not, it's not going to be terribly comfortable for her," Eileen O'Neill, TLC chief said. "She's game for things, but she also has limits and boundaries."

The contest "is very much more mental than physical, willing my mind to be able to withstand the pressure and pull off what I do in rehearsal," she explained.
She doesn't agree with the judges' criticisms but says, "It's their option to say what they're going to say."
In late summer, twelve episodes of Twist of Kate will start airing. The first of the series of Kate Plus 8 specials will air in June.
