Katie Couric to Host Talk Show?

Five years after becoming the first woman as a solo anchor of network evening news, reports have indicated that Katie Couric is leaving her post. Katie's contract will expire in June and she's expected to launch a syndicated talk show next year!

The Daily News reports that Katie will leave CBS Evening News when her contract expires. A CBS News spokesperson told the newspaper, "We're having ongoing discussions with Katie Couric." Meanwhile, her spokesperson refused to comment.

Although details are unclear about her next move as a talk show host, several companies are courting the news anchor. A pioneer in television, Katie replaced Dan Rather in 2006 and signed a contract worth $15 million each year!
