Hurricane Sandy has ravaged the east coast and is expected to cost the economy about $50 billion in repairs. Many parts of New York and New Jersey are left without power and the catastrophe has either lost or won votes for Pres. Obama, depending on who you ask.

While hosting The X-Factor two nights ago, Khloé chose to wear a sheer top, which slyly exposed her breast. The wardrobe choice, she explains, was the result of the hurricane.

“We moved the show up because of the hurricane, so my stuff that was being sent was stuck on the East Coast,” she told Hollyscoop.“That top arrived from the East Coast first thing.”

The reality star still doesn't see the big deal, adding she thought herself just a a little "nipply."

"The shirt was lined and everything! I’m surprised that much showed!”  she said. “When I went on, Simon was like motioning to me to cover up, and I was like, ‘what’s he doing?’”

So there you have it, folks. Without the hurricane, Khloe's X Factor Nipplegate would never have happened.
