Kim Kardashian wants everyone to "rest assured" over the pic she posted where she's holding a kitty by the scruff of its neck. "I would never do anything to harm an animal," Kim wrote on her blog.

While PETA wasn't too upset over Kim's handling of the kitty, her fans were. But, Kim wants everyone to know the cat is doing just fine!

"Hey guys! So yesterday I was doing a photo shoot with an adorable black kitty cat and I Twitpic'd this picture, Kim wrote on her blog. "I have been getting negative comments regarding the way I was holding the kitty, but rest assured, the owner and vet were on set and showed me how to pick him up."

"The cat was not harmed in any way and is perfectly fine!" she added. "I love animals and would never do anything to harm any animals."
