Kris Allen will be returning to American Idol next week to kickoff "Idol Gives Back!" But first, Kris will be traveling with the United Nations Foundation to Haiti this Friday to help raise awareness for the country's needs after the devastating earthquake hit last week.

The first look at Kris' Haiti footage will be aired next Thursday, Feb. 25 during the one-hour results show of American Idol, ainow.org reports.
The special episode will ask viewers to donate and will feature a performance by Kris.
“It is heartbreaking to see the devastation that Haiti is currently facing,” Kris said. “I am truly honored to be traveling to Haiti to see the UN’s relief efforts firsthand and to help out in any way that I can.”
