While we already know Kris Humphries is seeking an annulment from wife of 72 days Kim Kardashian, things may start to get a bit more interesting now that we're learning he not only wishes to annul the marriage on the grounds of "fraud," but he also wants the prenuptial agreement to be dismissed as well.

Requesting an annulment sounds like a smart move on Kris' part because it may allow him to get what he wants, which is to part ways from the whirlwind romance with the reality star as if it never legally existed — and get rid of the prenup he signed back in August while he's at it.

But why is Kris suddenly so eager to make that prenup disappear?

Well, it's probably because it contains a strict confidentiality agreement that has been forcing Kris to keep quiet on the split ever since Kim filed for divorce from the NBA star on Oct. 31.

According to RadarOnline, "The confidentiality aspect of the prenup is extensive and was created just in case things went bad, neither Kim nor Kris could discuss their relationship to the media. But now, Kris wants to be able to talk about the relationship without fear of being sued."

Clearly, things did go bad, which is why we've all been relying on the newest season of Kourtney and Kim Take New York to find out what really went wrong.

And with Kris making all the right legal moves, it seems like he may get a chance to share his side of the story after all.

"Kris is getting excellent legal advice. If the judge annuls the marriage, they were never legally married and the prenup at this point is really moot. Kris wants this to play out in court and wants the process to be transparent. If this needs to go to trial, he is ready for that."

It looks like we'll all have to wait and see what the judge decides! Stay tuned!
