Lauren Alaina was such a good sport about Scotty McCreery winning American Idol that she rewarded him with a huge mouth-to-mouth kiss on stage!

Even though confetti was falling, it was hard to miss the big smooch Lauren gave Scotty right after he was announced the winner of American Idol.

After a kiss like that, everyone wanted to know if the American Idol finalists are actually dating.

"He might be my boyfriend... ask him," Lauren told Entertainment Tonight, just after the kiss.

Scotty's reply to Lauren's comment was that he's "still single," but he and Lauren have "gotten really close, but I don't know about the more-than-friends stuff."

The new American Idol winner says he's still trying to get used to all the attention he's getting from girls. "The ladies weren't like this back before American Idol, it was tough on me back home," he said.
