“We are not talking any further about Lindsay playing Victoria,” Fiore announced yesterday (via PopEater). “She is no longer being considered. The talks have stopped. We are going to meet with other people.”
But later in the day, Lindsay was confirmed to still star in the movie, just in a different role.
"I'm really excited to be back on set and clear up all the misinterpretations about me and show this is what I love to do," Lindsay said about the casting, according to The Associated Press. "I think it's such an iconic story. I think it's a great story to be told.
"I'm honored to be working with John Travolta and Joe Pesci," she added.

According to TMZ, Fiore reportedly decided to drop Lindsay from the film over disagreements with her management team.
But Lindsay apparently wanted to be in the film so badly that she personally worked things out with the producer.
