Lindsay has been arrested twice in the last few months and is facing charges for lying to police after getting into a car accident in California and Wednesday night she was arrested for getting into a fight in a New York City club with allegations she punched a woman after getting into an altercation over a man.

And with a likely probation violation lurking, which could certainly include a lengthy jail time, Lindsay is already said to be trying to find a way out of going behind bars. Instead she is open to doing some much needed time in a treatment facility.

"Until now she has resisted, but after her arrest this morning she realizes she needs help.

"It's very likely that Lindsay won't fight the probation violation charges and throw herself at the mercy of the court and hopes to avoid jail time by going to rehab for at least six months."

The source added that the Mean Girls star could face up to 237 days behind bars with all her recent legal woes.

"Because of jail overcrowding in Los Angeles though she would only serve 25 percent of that time," the insider added. "The City Attorney will ask the judge to max Lindsay out and send her to jail."
