Things are heating up on Dancing With the Stars as three couples head into the finals next week, but alas, this means one couple had to say adios last night.

Maria Menounos and Derek Hough no longer have the disco ball trophy in their grasp since they were sent packing. After getting eliminated, the Extra host indicated, "I learned so many things. I learned how strong I was. I learned to persevere. We didn't know our dances yesterday until we got on the floor."

It sounds like their chemistry both on the dance floor and off were a fit for the pair. Derek mentioned, "She's not just a champion of dancing. She's a champion of life."
Returning the compliment, Maria added that she wouldn't "have made it this far without Derek's amazing talents and choreography."
Katherine Jenkins, Donald Driver, and William Levy are the remaining finalists for next week's big finish!
