As part of OK!’s Year in Review, we have recapped some of the most memorbable TV moments of 2009. Ranging from the Inauguration of President Barack Obama to Jim and Pam’s wedding on The Office to David Letterman admitting an affair and his public apology, these top TV clips are worth revisiting.

President Barack Hussein Obama
was sworn in as the 44th president of the United States of America on Jan. 20. Our first African-American head of state delivered a historical Inaugural address in front of an estimated crowd of four million people in Washington. Celebrities who watched Obama’s address include long time supporters Oprah Winfrey, P. Diddy, Beyoncé and Jay-Z, Tatiana Ali, Billy Baldwin, Chris Tucker, Spike Lee, Jessica Alba and her husband Cash Warren were among the slew of celebrity performances and appearances. Aretha Franklin belted out a moving rendition of the National Anthem, wearing the infamous bow hat.

Almost as exciting as Obama’s address was First Lady Michelle Obama‘s choice of outfit. Michelle wore a sparkling, mustard-yellow suit and coat by Isabel Toldeo, while First Daughters Malia and Sasha, took pictures with their digital camera to document Daddy’s big day.

Series finale of ER
After 15 seasons (and 23 Emmy Awards), ER ended in April, making its historical mark as the longest-running medical drama in American prime-time television. The nostalgic final episode welcomed back long-missed doctors to the Chicago ER including John Carter, Peter Benton, Susan Lewis, Kerry Weaver, and Elizabeth Corday.

Jon & Kate Plus a split
Although break-up rumors had been around for awhile, when the seemingly happy Gosselin couple announced their split live on their hit TLC show this summer, audiences across America were stunned.

Jon, 32, and estranged wife Kate, 34, filed for divorce last summer after 10 years together. The divorce was finalized last month, and the parents of eight left parted on an amicable note.

Kanye West interrupts Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech
This definitely tops the list of the most memorable MTV Video Music Award moments, so it only makes sense to feature this as one of the most memorable TV moments of the year. Kanye rudely interrupted Taylor’s acceptance speech for Best Female Video at the September award show. The rapper ran up on stage to give his opinions on how Beyoncé was more deserving of the award. “I’m really happy for you, and I’m gonna let you finish,” he told a stunned Taylor. “But Beyoncé had one of the best videos of all time.” Taylor handled the awkward moment like a pro, and later was given props from Beyoncé.

Jim and Pam’s wedding
Fans of The Office were thrilled to finally witness Dunder Mifflin’s golden couple get married. Jim (John Krasinski) and Pam (Jenna Fischer) did not have a normal ceremony. As a spoof on a wedding making the rounds on the Internet, the co-workers danced their way down the aisle to Chris Brown‘s “Forever.”

David Letterman’s apology
In the wake of extramarital affairs and the scandals which sullied Dave’s reputation, the late night talk show host made a live apology on his show to wife Regina who he said has been “horribly hurt by my behavior.”

“If you hurt a person and it’s your responsibility, you try to fix it,” Dave said on his show in October. “Let me tell ya folks… I got my work cut out for me.”

Attempting to bring some humor to the dark situation, Dave joked, “This is only Phase 1 of the scandal. Phase 2: Next week, I go on Oprah and sob.”

Maybe Tiger should learn a lesson from Dave?

Kardashian wedding
Keeping up with reality TV’s most famous family just got more exciting this year. After a month of dating, Khloé Kardashian, 25, married her L.A. Laker love, Lamar Odom, 29, on Sept. 27 — and the details of the wedding are as head-spinning as their whirlwind romance! OK! brought you inside their spectacular star-studded bash!

More than 250 guests — including bridesmaids and sisters Kim and Kourtney Kardashian, Kendall and Kylie Jenner and celebs Ryan Seacrest, Kelly Osbourne and Kobe Byrant — arrived at family friend and music mogul Irving Azoff’s sprawling Beverly Hills manse for the black-tie affair.

The spectacular event Keeping Up With the Kardashians: The Wedding aired on Nov. 8 on E!

Will the birth of Kourtney’s baby boy Mason Dash Disick air on the hit reality show? Guess we will have to wait to find out!

Rihanna’s GMA Interview with Diane Sawyer
In an exclusive heart-to-heart interview with Good Morning America‘s Diane Sawyer, Rihanna opened up for the first time on what happened between her and Chris Brown on that horrible February evening. She spoke without hate, and wished the best for her former boyfriend. Despite his abuse, RiRi still loves Chris. “I don’t hate him at all,” she told Diane in the interview which aired in November.

“I actually love and care about him and I’m concerned about him doing well. I want him to do well, have a great career, have a great life and grow up, and just take this as something that you had to go through to grow up and learn.”

Adam Lambert’s AMA performance
The American Idol alum certainly ruffled some feathers! His homoerotic and sensual act, including Adam kissing his keyboard player and pushing a dancer’s head down to the crotch level of his pants, prompted ABC to cancel his appearance on Good Morning America. However, the Idol star stuck to his guns, saying he didn’t regret a thing.
