We have a lot of choices regarding exercise classes these days including taking elements from other traditions. As we start week 4 of OK!'s 12 Week Countdown To Summer, lets look east to the newer incarnations of Bikram Yoga that have become all the rage on the fitness scene.

I recently had the opportunity to try out hot yoga as part of my exercise regime and it was amazing!

Hot yoga is basically performing yoga in a heated room with postures that combine flexibility, strength and balance to work the entire body. Benefits of hot yoga also include weight loss and muscle toning.

I took a class at hot8yoga but there are lots of other similar yoga studios that offer Bikram Yoga which has similar effects. Beginner's class is in 90 degree heat while more advanced yogis workout in 115 degree heated studio.
