Natalie Portman and Benjamin Millipied Throw Traditional Jewish Wedding

Natalie Portman and Benjamin Millipied tied the knot this weekend in an intimate and traditional Jewish wedding along the Big Sur coast.
Natalie — who was born Natalie Hershlag in Jerusalem, Israel — wore a traditional white Rodarte dress and a crown of wildflowers, while she and Benjamin swapped vows underneath a Jewish chuppah made of twigs.
"During the ceremony, the couple were wrapped in a tallits, a Jewish prayer shawl, and in keeping with custom, things ended with Millepied smashing a glass to shouts of "Mazel Tov!"" reported People, adding that the couple danced the hora and were lifted up in chairs.

The only factors deviating in tradition? Natalie's desire for a fully vegan wedding and the couple's choice to nibble on French macaroons instead of wedding cake.

The Black Swan actress gave birth their son, Aleph, last June. The notoriously private actress opened up to MTV News last spring about her mixed feelings about being in the public eye.
"The weird thing is ... people knowing something that is so private but, I mean, you get used to that," she said. "It's just wild to walk down the street and have a complete stranger be like, 'Congratulations!' It's so nice, but it's a new experience to have people know that much about your most private things. But it's all good."
