Welcome to New Tunes Tues, where I tell you what newly released songs/albums/music videos etc require your attention immediately. Sure, three major pop artists all released new songs yesterday, but it's Tuesday, meaning there's plenty more new music where that came from. Here's what I'm loving this week from Demi Lovato, Katy Perry, Ed Sheeran and more.
Tyga ft. Justin Bieber, "Wait For a Minute." Bieber has released his second song this week, this time with Tyga. Tyga compares this collaboration to when Justin Timberlake teamed up with Pharrell for the first time and I think that's a fair comparison. You?
Tori Kelly, "Foreword." Scooter Braun's been tweeting about this Tori chick all day since her new EP, Foreword, just came out. Turns out she's a former American Idol contestant who's now being managed by Bieber's manager. Here's a preview of all the tracks off her new EP, which is already number 4 on the iTunes album charts. Go Scooter:
Katy Perry, "Unconditionally." Katy''s new album, Prism, just got released today and is said to have nothing but hits on it, so hello, Grammy awards 2014. And Katy revealed that "Unconditionally" would be the album's second single following the crazy success of "Roar" and then she released this lyric video for the ballad. Such a nice message it has, doesn't it?
Demi Lovato, "Let It Go." Demi making a new song for Disney? No, it's not the Camp Rock reunion we're all hoping for. Bummer. But Demi does have a new single, "Let It Go," which will be featured on the soundtrack for the new Disney film Frozen, out on Thanksgiving weekend. Her voice is unreal:
Lupe Fiasco ft. Ed Sheeran, "Old School Love." And speaking of unreal voices—Ed Sheeran, everyone. I am beyond obsessed with this collaboration between Ed and rapper Lupe Fiasco and lovin' its old school vibe. You?
