We've already had a president who got famous for starring in movies with a monkey, so why not one who started out as a pop star, right?
And that's exactly what Nick Jonas of The Jonas Brothers was thinking when he visited CNN's The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer on Monday.
"I've always said that I would like to be president," the 16-year-old told CNN White House Correspondent Suzanne Malveaux. "It's kind of my whole thing."
As for when he'd possibly see himself sitting in the Oval Office, he guesstimates, "Maybe 2040."
Nick was on CNN to discuss a cause near and dear to his heart — juvenile diabetes.
"I'm here to basically raise awareness and encourage people to continue to do what they can to raise awareness as well in their own circle and on a broader scale," he explained. "Obviously, we've made some advances in technology to better manage our diabetes, but we're hoping for a cure one day, and that's what the main goal is."
