Nigel Lythgoe is returning to American Idol as executive producer, but his main focus will still be So You Think You Can Dance.

Nigel left American Idol in 2008 to produce and judge SYTYCD on Fox, but he has now reportedly signed a two-year deal to help executive produce American Idol, USA Today reports.
And although he is returning to Idol, Nigel Tweeted that it does not mean he's giving up SYTYCD!
