While co-star and close friend Corey Feldman has already expressed his grief over the loss, Adam tells OK! that the 38-year-old’s father Bernie Haim was also deeply affected.
“I contacted his father Bernie when I heard what had happened on Wednesday. Bernie loved his son very much and Corey had a very close relationship with his father and entire family. The family needs privacy and time to mourn such a tragic loss.”

And Adam, who fondly remembers spending time with Corey as a child, only has kind words to speak of the Dream a Little Dream star.
“When I was younger I looked up to Corey as a great actor and role model. Their family has always proven to be extremely kind, loving and warm to me and everyone around them.”
Corey was taken to the Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center in Burbank on Wednesday, although a cause of death will not be confirmed until after an autopsy is performed.
