Oprah Talks Puppies

It's no secret Oprah Winfrey has a thing for animals, and now the daytime diva is dedicating the entire June issue of O, The Oprah Magazine as "The Animals Issue."
On the cover she poses with newest pup Sadie, who suffered from the deadly parvovirus shortly after Oprah adopted her. Her brother Ivan died from the illness.
“Out of all the pups in that picture, Sadie was the one I felt an instant connection with," she reveals about the magazine's cover.

Oprah says of Sadie’s brush with the disease, she adds, “The first four days, she got increasingly worse. At one point I told her doctor, ‘I’m prepared to let her go. She shouldn’t have to fight this hard.’” But the next day, Sadie started to improve and she is now fully recovered.
Animals take the cake for Oprah, as she confesses, “One thing I know for sure: I can’t begin to repay my own dogs for the flat-out joy they bring me.”
