Paula Abdul Insists: "I've Never Had a Drinking Problem"

Paula Abdul’s quirky personality can sometimes be misleading, as rumors have swirled that she has been under the influence of alcohol during live tapings of American Idol in the past. But, the new host of Live to Dance persists that she is just a goofy girl who does not have a substance abuse issue.

"I've never had a drinking problem... Even though I've been in this business for quite some time,” Paula told CBS News’ Julie Chen on Sunday.

The dancer asserts that she has actually never been drunk in her entire life.

“I've never physically been drunk in my life. I've never been drunk in my life. I don't use recreational drugs. But, I am goofy."

The loopy host wants to make sure that her funny personality isn’t mistaken for foolishness.
