It was a bittersweet Comic-Con for Twilight star Peter Facinelli, who plays patriarch Carlisle Cullen. After wrapping the last installment of the franchise, Breaking Dawn — Part 2, it's just beginning to sink in he'll no longer travel to San Diego each year to chat about vampires with Twi-hards.

"It’s a little sad. I’m going to miss the fans. They’ve treated us so well, at Comic-Con especially," he told Vanity Fair. "But just because the movies are over doesn’t mean the fans will disappear. I hope. Otherwise it will be me standing outside with a bunch of markers and no one who wants an autograph."

Peter told the magazine his fans have turned into sort of a mini-family.

"There is something really special about Twilight fans where they all come together for the love of these books and this story. You feel this energy. There are Twilight fans that I’ve known for years now that come to different events, and I’ll be like, “Oh, you got a haircut!” I know their names and they become members of this community," he said.

The Nurse Jackie actor jokes that author Stephanie Meyer should pen "a Broadway musical. Twilight: Turn Off the Dark. Or an Ice Capades Twilight."

"I’m just going to dress up like Carlisle and do birthdays and bat mitzvahs. I’m just going to rent out Carlisle on the weekend," he deadpanned about his plans after the movie's November release.

Seriously though, you can catch Peter in season five of Nurse Jackie and he's keeping busy with his own production company, where he's written and produced several upcoming films.
