It looks like Pippa Middleton isn't hanging out with the wrong crew, after all.

News surfaced yesterday morning that Pippa was spotted in a car with a driver who pointed a gun at the paparazzi. While police investigated and the world wondered if Pippa might get charged, a rep for her friend, French aristocrat Arthur de Soultrait, says the pistol was a fake.

It turns out Pippa's pal — a cohort at the glitzy Paris party that brought her and a few friends to the city — was playing a harmless prank on the shutterbugs.

Paris police have no plans for further investigation.
