Sure, it may have been July 4 and our holiday for declaring independent from Great Britain, but that won't stop us from getting a glimpse of British royalty!
Yesterday at Wimbledon, Prince William and Duchess Kate were spotted enjoying each other's company and the matches, including Roger Federer beating Mikhail Youzhny. They also cheered on fellow Brit Andy Murray as he defeated Spaniard David Ferrer.
According to USA Today, Roger was happy to see them in the stands. "I think it's inspiring," he said. "I'm happy they came to support tennis and to support me. It was very special."
Once they arrived, they got a loud ovation, and beamed with smiles in response. Then they chatted with people sitting in their vicinity. Ever the fashionista, Kate wore a creamy cable knit sailor dress by Alexander McQueen. She first wore it a year ago, while touring Canada.
Their visit to Wimbledon was the first during this year's tournament but hopefully it won't be their last. The finals occur this weekend!
