James Van Der Beek’s pregnant wife Kimberly gives his tush a playful pinch this week on the red carpet during the Labor Day premiere held at Ryerson Theatre during the Toronto International Film Festival.

Moments before he joined co-stars including Kate Winslet and Josh Brolin for the cast photo, she couldn’t resist copping a feel of the man she married in 2010.

It’s just one of many cherished moments the lovebirds are able to steal together during their time in Canada.

“We’ve got two kids Olivia, 2, and Joshua, 18 months at home, so it’s fun to take a trip to the Toronto Film Festival,” James, 36, tells me. “It feels like a weekend-long date night.”

Having his wife, who is due with baby number three this winter, there to support him means everything.

“It makes it worth it,” he says. “It’s fun. It’s a lot of fun to share with someone.”

As for a Dawson’s Creek reunion with Katie Holmes, Michelle Williams and Joshua Jackson?

He grimaces, smiling but remaining silent. Ugh.
