NEWSRed Carpet Confidential: Maria Menounos Will 'Stalk' Derek Hough After 'DWTS'

Now that Maria Menounos has been booted off Dancing With the Stars in Tuesday’s shocking elimination, she can return to her regular routine.
How has dancing changed her body?
“It has definitely leaned me out and made me super-muscular,” the host, 33, tells me during the Bud Light Lime-A-Rita launch at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas. “I actually got on the scale because I get so curious now — I never really weighed myself — but I gained about six pounds since I’ve started, and it’s all muscle. I’m super lean, and super tight. Dancing’s an overall body workout, so it’s pretty cool.”
Packing on a little weight doesn’t matter to Maria, who has told me she dropped forty pounds in college.

“I feel great,” she says. “I look at my body as a vehicle to help me with my work, and obviously with my dancing. I don’t look at it in that way. I don’t care what size I am. I’ve dropped two sizes in pants, and that makes me nervous because I don’t want to get too thin, I don’t want to lose my curves. I certainly don’t want to lose my butt. My partner Derek Hough made a comment the other day, like ‘I think you’re losing your butt.’ I was like ‘I am?!’ He was like ‘no, I’m just kidding,' and I’m like ‘OK.’”
And even though she didn’t make it to the final round, Maria will keep on dancing.
“I told Derek I will be stalking him for the rest of his life, and I will be asking him to dance all the time,” she says. “I want to get my parents to take classes so they can experience it as well, but if Derek continues to do DWTS, his next partner had better watch out, because I’m crashing rehearsals, removing her, and I’m going to go back to it with him. laughs”

Hm, what does her longtime boyfriend Keven Undergaro think of her cozy relationship with Derek?
“He’s been a really good sport,” she says. “He’s always said this: you can’t force someone to stay with you, and you can’t force someone to not stray, so the more you handcuff them, the more they’re going to feel like they need to run. We have an incredible bond and an incredible trust with each other. And that’s it — it fits.”
