Alec Baldwin is a changed man since he ranted that his then-eleven-year-old daughter Ireland was a “rude, thoughtless little pig” in 2007.

Although Ivanka Trump’s husband Jared Kushner avoids diaper duty, and Simon Cowell has sworn off changing the nappies of his baby-to-be with Lauren Silverman, the former 30 Rock Star is a bit more hands-on.
The two-time Emmy winner, 55, who will host MSNBC talk show Up Late With Alec Baldwin beginning in October, welcomed daughter Carmen last month with wife Hilaria Baldwin. (Daughter Ireland, whose mom is ex Kim Basinger, is now 17.)
“Yeah, of course he changes diapers,” Hilaria tells me Wednesday during the New York Philharmonic Opening Night Gala concert held at Lincoln Center’s Avery Fisher Hall. “He’s the perfect dad. I’ve got a lucky little girl.”

One way Alec is making sure he continues to be a hands-on dad is by keeping his talk show close to their New York home.
“It’s a great opportunity for me, because I get to stay home with my wife, and we have a baby,” he tells me. “I find traveling is just too difficult now with my family, so this is a job where I can sit back and do something that interests me, and I also get to stay home. That’s important.”
