Regis Philbin Thanks Twitter for Retirement Support; Says "It's Not Like Dying"

Following Regis Philbin's announcement that he'll be retiring from Live with Regis & Kelly, Twitter has been flooded with support for the talk show host. And Regis is giving all the love back!

Regis, 79, announced he will be retiring from Live With Regis and Kelly later this year.
Heartbroken Regis fans have been Tweeting nonstop today about how sad they are to see him go.
"i announced my leaving our show today," Regis wrote on Live! With Regis and Kelly's Twitter. "david letterman just called, he said congratulations, i dont know if thats good or bad. — r"
And Regis isn't taking his retirement too seriously, so you shouldn't either!
"its not like dying, im just retiring from the show," he added, "by the way do you have a job for me, — r"

And Larry King, who also retired this year, took to his Twitter to support Regis as well.
"Sad to hear the news that my dear friend Regis is leaving his show, @Regis_and_Kelly," Larry Tweeted on Tuesday. They don't come any better. He's a true giant."
