Robert Pattinson Tells David Letterman He Started Acting to "Meet Girls"

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn — Part 1 star Robert Pattinson stopped by Late Show With David Letterman last night and talked about his adoring female fans — and he doesn't really mind all the attention!

Rob revealed to David Letterman exactly why he got into acting.
"I wanted to meet girls," Rob said on the show. "That was, like, the main thing."
Well, he sure found a good one in Kristen Stewart!
But Rob has a lot of screaming girls following him since playing Edward in Twilight.
"What is it about the vampire that the teenage girls respond to?" David asked.
"I don't know. I've always been sort of vaguely curious," Rob admitted. "It's not just so much teenage girls. It's older than people realize. And the older ones are the far more passionate fans."

And Rob says he's relieved that girls are still screaming for him!
