Sam Gets Served — Finally!
Feb. 21 2008, Published 1:06 p.m. ET
After weeks of playing hide and seek with authorities, Sam Lutfi was finally served with a restraining order, forbidding him from going near Britney Spears.
Brit's former confidante was served at 11 a.m. PT on Thursday as he was leaving his apartment in West L.A. The restraining order forbids Lutfi from coming within 250 yards of Britney, her home, the Spears family or their homes. It also alleges, "Mr. Lutfi has drugged Britney. He has cut Britney's home phone line and removed her cell phone chargers. He claims to control everything."
Brit's conservators originally had until yesterday at 1:30 p.m. to serve Sam with the restraining order. Because the papers weren't served until today, there is a chance that Sam will have to be served again with updated papers.
OK! spoke with L.A. Superior Court Spokesman Allan Parachini who said of tomorrow's court hearing, "We just have to wait until everyone shows up and what motions are granted. Whether Britney will show, or Michael Sands, or Jon Eardley, or Sam Lutfi or all of the above will help determine what force the restraining order has."

At the time the restraining order was sought, Britney's family had been locked in a power struggle with Lutfi, who they reportedly blame for the singer's increasingly bizarre behavior over the last year.
