Scarlett Johansson broke her silence on her 2008 wedding to Ryan Reynolds on the Late Show with David Letterman Thursday, to joke that privacy concerns forced her to plan their "I do" "in a dark alley somewhere."
The New York City native, 25, said she married the Proposal star in "a very remote part of Canada" (Vancouver Island in British Columbia), reports Radar Online.
"Where we got married there were bears and whales and eagles," she gushed.
"I never thought that I'd be planning my wedding in a dark alley somewhere, but it turned out that way," she joked. "It was really quite secretive and I felt like I was doing a drug deal — without all the fun."
Scarlett received high praise for her Broadway debut in Arthur Miller's A View From the Bridge last month.
