Heidi Klum officially filed for divorce from husband Seal on Friday, but apparently, that wasn't good enough.

Seal filed his own papers today in the Los Angeles Superior Court to end their almost seven-year marriage, citing "irreconcilable differences," according to E! News, who obtained the court documents.

Heidi originally asked for primary physical custody of the kids, offering Seal visitation rights, but in Seal's papers, he requests joint legal custody of Leni, 7, Henry, 6, Johan, 5, and Lou, 2.

But despite the separate filings, Seal and Heidi continue to remain civil and have a great amount of respect for one another. No one expects a custody battle to ensue.

"The thing that I'm most proud about this great woman who I married, and I really do mean that from the bottom of my heart, is that together she has given me four incredible gifts ... four beautiful children," Seal told Ellen DeGeneres on her show days after going public with his split from Heidi. "She is still, in my opinion, the most wonderful woman in the world."
