NEWS'Smash' Star Debra Messing Files For Divorce From Daniel Zelman

After separating two years ago in February 2010, Debra Messing has officially filed divorce papers from her husband, Daniel Zelman.
E! News points out the Smash star is asking the judge to have joint physical and legal custody of their eight year-old son, Roman.

The couple met as students at NYU in the '90s and got married in September 2000. Apparently they continued to live together in NYC up until recently, although they were separating.
Debra's been linked to her co-star, Will Chase. Will has two kids from his first marriage and is getting divorced as well.
