Stephen Colbert Cancels 'The Colbert Report' Production This Week

It's a pretty big mystery and probably a pretty big deal as to why Stephen Colbert halted his show, The Colbert Report, this week. For right now, however, no one knows precisely why.

Live tapings for shows were abruptly canceled the latter part of this week. Stephen has been pretty quiet on Twitter since Wednesday when Comedy Central alerted ticketholders about the cancellation. VIDEO: WATCH STEPHEN COLBERT SLAM SARAH PALIN'S "RESTORATION OF AMERICA" BUS TOUR According to The Washington Post, the network issued a statement about the cancellations: "Due to unforeseen circumstances, the show will repeat episodes on Wednesday, February 15 and Thursday, February 16." As pointed out by The Hollywood Reporter, there's no indication Stephen had a dispute with the network and it sounds like hopefully the show will be back in action pretty soon!
