Fourth of July weekend is all about the beach, barbeques, fireworks and enjoying a cocktail! So why not splurge on something fun? Our friends at Chivas Regal have shared some delicious scotch cocktail recipes and there is bound to one for every palette.
Chris Noth is a fan of the liquor and attended the Chivas brotherhood event last week at the Bowery Hotel in NYC!

1 1/2 ounces Chivas Regal Scotch
3/4 ounce Navan Vanilla Liqueur
1 1/4 ounces Carpano Antica Formula Vermouth
Dash 5-Spice Bitters
Directions: Pour all ingredients into a mixing glass. Add large, cold ice. Stir until very cold, strain and serve up in a cocktail glass. Garnish with an orange twist.
1 1/2 ounces Chivas Regal 12yr
3/4 ounce EO Hibiscus cordial*
3/4 ounce Fresh Lemon juice
"1/2 dash" of Regan's orange bitters
Directions: Shaken and served on the rocks, then topped off with Gosling's ginger beer
Garnish: orange half wheel.
* EO Hibiscus Cordial
Yields 2 liters
1 cup dried hibiscus
1 liter water
3 pounds bar sugar
5 ounces 100 proof vodka
5 ounces VS cognac
Bring water to boil over high heat. Reduce heat and add hibiscus and sugar stirring until sugar is entirely dissolved. Remove from heat and allow to cool. Add cognac and vodka, then strain and bottle immediately.

Dominant Flavors: sweet black cherries and botanicals from vermouth
Body or Mouth feel: rich medium bodied from Cherry Herring
Dryness: medium (balanced)
Complexity: rich flavors with medium complexity
Accentuating or contrasting flavors: smokiness from the scotch and sweetness from orange juice
Finish: short, lingering smoky finish
1 ounce Chivas Regal 12 y Scotch

1 ounce Carpano Antiqua sweet vermouth
1 ounce Cherry Heering
1 ounce freshly squeezed orange juice
1 orange twist, for garnish
Pour all ingredients into a mixing glass. Add large cold ice and shake vigorously. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with orange twist.
Dominant Flavors: lemon oil on the nose followed by peat
Body or Mouth feel: full bodied, honeyed mouth feel
Dryness: medium to off dry
Accentuating or contrasting flavors: floral, earthy and herbal notes surround Scotch
Finish: long honeyed finish with slight bitter orange
2 ounces Chivas Regal 12y
1 ounce St. Germain elderflower liqueur
3/4 ounce Yellow Chartreuse
1 dash Reagan’s No. 6 orange bitters
1 lemon twist, for garnish
Pour all ingredients into a mixing glass. Add large cold ice and stir for 40 revolutions. Strain into chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with lemon twist.
1/2 tsp sugar dissolved in soda
2 ounces Chivas Regal 12y Scotch
1 dash fresh lemon juice
1 dash angostura bitters
2 Lemon spirals & 2 Orange peels for garnish
Directions: Build the drink directly in the Collins glass by pouring Scotch, sugar and lemon juice. Fill the glass with ice and top off with Ginger Ale. Garnish with bitters, lemon and orange peels.
