NEWS'Vampire Diaries' Star Nina Dobrev Is Not Engaged to Ian Somerhalder: My Career Comes Before Love

Nina Dobrev may have a smoldering-hot boyfriend, but she admits she's nowhere near ready to tie the knot.
The Vampire Diaries star, who is dating her hunky co-star Ian Somerhalder, shot down engagement rumors, saying they're "not true at all," and that she'd "be wearing a ring" if she had one.

“I mean, that’s not my style,” Nina, 23, told Access Hollywood at the People's Choice Awards last night. “I’m young. I’m really young. It’s not like back in the day where you have to get married and have your children by 18,” she added. “I’m a career woman and a young, very driven woman, and I’ve got a lot I have to accomplish before I settle down and have kids and do any of that.”

And her boyfriend agrees, adding that he would know if Nina rejected his proposal, as reports said.
“It’s not true,” Ian, 33, told Access Hollywood of the non-engagement. “If it were true, I would admit to it, ‘cause getting turned down builds character!”
