Julien's Auctions has confirmed to E! Online that a slice of the Cambridges' wedding cake sold for $4,160. Is a little piece of that cake even edible these days, or is it merely ornamental? Fiona Cairns, the pastry chef who created the cake on the big day, explained that the dense fruitcake concoction was made specifically to last a long time, as is tradition. The Cambridges even servcd a tier of the cake at the christening of Prince George last month!

Julien's has not disclosed the winning bidder, but we're hoping that maybe they invite us over for a bite? Followed by some sort of stomach medication, presumably.
