There will never be enough Friends for me. I've probably watched an episode of Friends every other day since 1996 or so, and can recite most of the lines, but it still won't be enough. Any hint at a reunion, any pic of cast members hanging out socially, and it's like fireworks in my heart.

So I was so happy to watch this little gem on YouTube: it's a behind-the-scenes featurette circa the season 6 premier in 1999. For fans, that's around the cliffhanger that Ross and Rachel drunkenly got married in Las Vegas right as Monica and Chandler were about to tie the knot. In this video, you get to visit the set, watch the writers work into the wee hours, and even see the actors get rewrites mid-scene. Including, yes, forced emphasis for Chandler's lines.

The video is very funny because this show, perhaps more than others, always seemed so effortlessly funny. Maybe I believed that all these actors knew instinctively which inflection to take on a line, and I never imagined the jokes changing from shot to shot. It's also fun to find out, during the editing scene, that sometimes the studio audience would laugh too loud, and would have to be turned down!

What did you think of this featurette? Did you watch Friends while it was on air, and do you watch reruns now? Would you ever want to see a Friends reunion? Tell us in the comments below or tweet us @OKMagazine.
