Aaron Carter is supposedly going on a social media cleanse.
The record producer, 34, told his social media followers on Wednesday, March 9, that he won't be making any posts for a while, as he recuperates from his ongoing drama with ex Melanie Martin.
Carter and Martin — who welcomed their son Prince together back in November 2021 — recently called it quits once again on their on-and-off relationship after getting into an alleged physical altercation.
As OK! reported, the new mom filed a restraining order against Carter late last month, after claiming that he punched her and left her with broken ribs — allegations she has since recanted and blamed on her struggle with postpartum depression.
Following the news of Martin's restraining order which made headlines last week, the "I Want Candy" singer took to Instagram to let his fans know that he is staying out of the public eye for a bit in the midst of the allegations.
"Taking a break from social media for about a week. Then I'll be back on," he announced via his Instagram Story on Wednesday. "Need to unwind decompress from todays court hearing and stay focused and happy and be a good father."
He also added the hashtag "#SelfCare" at the end of his message.
While Carter didn't share any details about the alleged court hearing he mentioned in his post, the "Crush on You" artist is likely dealing with some legal woes following the alleged blowout with his ex-girlfriend.

Less than an hour after announcing his social media hiatus, Carter followed up his post with another IG Story, this time to give a special shoutout to his infant son.
"Single daddy. I love you son. Goodnight 🌙 Daddy loves you so so much," he wrote on the post.
The estranged pair's baby boy is believed to be in the current care of Martin, as Carter previously demanded that his ex "give me back my son," in a since-deleted post on his Instagram page.
In the post, captioned: "I miss you son. Daddy loves you always," the doting dad shared a photo of Martin seemingly holding a weapon, as he accused her of holding a knife in her hand. "I'm sorry but that is not okay! I'm not a liar she is a scam artist who needs serious help."
