Adele Breaks Down In Tears In Heartbreaking Instagram Video Announcing Cancellation Of Las Vegas Shows
A heartbreaking announcement!
Adele took to social media with the sad news that her Friday, January 21, Vegas show has officially been cancelled only 24 hours before she was set to take the stage.
The "Someone Like You" singer was teary-eyed as she told her fans that all of her highly anticipated shows for her Las Vegas residency would have to be rescheduled at a later date due to unforeseeable "delivery delays" and struggles with COVID-19.
"I'm so sorry, but, um, my show ain't ready," she began the emotion-packed video posted to her Instagram on Thursday, January 20. "We've tried absolutely everything that we can to put it together in time and for it to be good enough for you, but we've been absolutely destroyed by delivery delays and covid."
The Grammy winner went on to say that a staggering half of her team are currently "down with covid", circumstances which led to it being simply "impossible to finish the show" on time for her Friday debut.

"I can't give you what I have right now. And I'm gutted. I'm gutted," she said, her voice trembling as she spoke. "And I'm sorry it's so last minute. We've been awake for over 30 hours now trying to figure it out."
Despite Adele and her crew's desperate attempts to put something together worthy of her fans, the "Rolling in the Deep" songstress chalked it up to the fact they have completely "run out of time" to finish. "And I'm so upset and I'm really embarrassed," she added, before apologizing again to everyone that had already travelled for the show.
"We're on it. We're going to reschedule all of the dates. We're on it right now," she promised her followers watching. "And I'm gonna finish my show, and I'm gonna get it to where it's supposed to be."
The 33-year-old ended the video while trying to hold back tears as she said once again, "I'm really sorry."
Adele first confirmed her "Weekends With Adele" Las Vegas residency at Caesars Palace Colosseum on Tuesday, November 30, 2021. The series of concerts were scheduled to happen every weekend on Fridays and Saturdays through April, 2022.
There is currently no information on new concert dates as the singer and her team regroup and prepare a new schedule.
