Table for one! Famed baseballer Alex Rodriguez doesn't seem to be taking things too well following his shocking split from Latin superstar Jennifer Lopez. Gone are the days of extravagant outings with the sultry songstress, and now the athlete can be seen on somber solo dates in the Big Apple.
On Saturday, June 5, the former New York Yankees player, 45, was snapped having dinner with Me, Myself and I at Bar Pitti restaurant in downtown Manhattan.
As OK! exclusively reported, after Lopez moved on with former fiancé Ben Affleck, things between her and Rodriguez got ugly, according to a well-placed source. “There is a lot of pain and rage about breaking off the engagement," the insider dished, adding that J.Lo and A-Rod are no longer on speaking terms.
Now, Rodriguez's face says it all. While his beautiful ex has been keeping herself busy with romantic getaways alongside Affleck, the athlete seems to be adjusting to his new normal... alone.
Dressed down in a short-sleeve navy shirt and blue sneakers, the baseball pro enjoyed his pasta — or should we say indulged in some much-needed comfort food — by himself. "Alex is still very sore and in a world of pain," an insider previously dished. "It’s the first time anyone can remember him being dumped like this, at least publicly." Rodriguez and Lopez began dating in 2017 and were engaged for two years prior to their split.

Is that a tear? Rodriguez rubbed his eyes as he sat slumped over at the New York City restaurant. When he and Lopez announced they were going their seperate ways, they insisted they were better off as "friends," but that seems awfully debatable.
Following J-Rod's breakup, Lopez was snapped out and about with Affleck — and it's safe to say that their whirlwind reconciliation took Rodriguez by surprise.
While Bennifer has seemingly tried to keep their romance under wraps, "there’s zero doubt it’s really hurt his ego," the source added of how Rodriguez is taking the news.
